All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
I've always wanted a house right on the beach or an island of my own. My dream home would be a wood and stone single-storey building with a sort of shelter on the roof for star-gazing or watching a thunderstorm. I'd also like a single room cabin for my musings, maybe like a studio, on the water or as near as possible. I'd need a boat so a little wooden pier near the cabin would be good. The main building would have a spacious kitchen and a spacious bathroom, a large bookshelf and bedroom that I'd share with my dog. I'd have to have a few guest bedrooms due to social obligations, although being alone suits me just fine.

2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
Well, when someone asks me to make a wish, I tend to go blank and just wish for peace and happiness for every living being or something like that (oddly hippie, yes, i know.). I do truly wish for that so I'd say my first wish is Being able to do something to bring peace and happiness to as many beings (I say beings, not only humans) as I can and having people who would do the same to the others I can't reach.

My first wish too noble? Alright. My second wish is a little silly but I want to be able to read thoughts, to catch dreams and to understand how different people (and animals too?) think and feel. I don't know why but I've always wanted to. I've just always liked to try and figure out how everything works, to understand things rather than just acknowledge them. That's the most I can elaborate on that, i think.

If I had more than three wishes I would wish for these:
(1) owning a sea serpent (dragons are overrated), (2) having my own sword (like those in the Inheritance Cycle more than the ASoIaF ones) and learning sword play and (3) being able to control and bend light and colours.

I have been given only three wishes though. My third and final wish is to give a wish to someone who needs it more than I do. 'Nuff said.

3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I would love to write some proud accomplishment of mine here, but I don't really have one. I can only really say that I do my best to be awesome.
If you really want an example:
At an exam I was given a question sheet with the actual solutions attached to it and promptly returned it without looking at the answers. I came 6th out of 150 students appearing for it.
I'm pretty proud of that.

4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Most important: Love. I picked love because it actually includes two other important things on this list- Family and Friendship. Love is not just something you share with a special someone. Love is an essential give and take that is (should be at any rate) shared by everyone. I can't explain love, it's a basic feeling not a material or personal thing or quality. It's just there and you have a choice- pass it on or suffer your ignorant, petty existence.

Least important: I'd say money. Money is rather important but seems a little less necessary when compared to the others. I believe that financial stability and being self-reliant is enough. You don't have to hanker for more money.

5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Too many quotes, too many songs. Gods be good, where do I start?
I think this quote sums it up:
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
― Oscar Wilde

I'm rather hard to effectively describe. I know I'm supposed to be elaborate with this though. So I'll try. I'm very particular about things and like having rules and following them, yet I hate having to conform to any particular culture or trend, as such. I, for example, do not like shoes. If I had the option I'd go everywhere barefoot, and sometimes do. I'm quite unpredictable. I'm nerdy and sporty at the same time. I'm not a girly girl and I don't care much about how I look. I take a liking to odd things and love to try new stuff. Most people when asked to describe me will either say "cheery and helpful", "sarcastic and grumpy" or "just weird".

6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I proudly boast that I've never lost money and I don't spend much on non-essential things.
Financial security is quite important, I think. I don't aspire to be rich and sure as hell don't want to be poor, I just want to have earned enough to spend on what I need and saved enough to be self-sufficient in any situation.

7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?

Art and Craft: I've always loved colours, painting, sketching and making something beautiful and useful out of everyday stuff and old waste.

Reading: I love books and I'm a real bookworm.

Eating: Is that a hobby..?

Sports: I love being outdoors and playing sports, especially football (soccer if you're American) and I love to swim.

Outside of school, my favourite things are listed above as well as going to the beach, travelling, photography, trying to predict weather (I'm quite good at it) and the being on the Internet (What would I be without it?).

8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
(I) Complete trust: I don't know why but there's only a limit to how much I can trust people. I don't have any siblings and my parents work long hours, so I've spent the most part of my childhood by myself. I'm my own best friend and I can't trust anyone like I do myself. I'm scared to trust people too much.
(II) Not knowing things: I hate not knowing things and I feel afraid of being in a situation where I should be able to do something but can't because I have incomplete knowledge.
(III) Being in a state where I can't rely on myself: This probably stems from my first two fears and my stubborn reluctance to take help from someone. I try to be self-reliant and this is actually my worst fear.

9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best qualities:
Meticulous I'm quite organised and very particular about things. I like to be on time. I'm very thorough with whatever work I have to do. I like details. I have a system for everything I do.

Helpful I'm willing to help anyone and will do it to the best of my abilities. I expect nothing in return and won't keep it score of it. I just help because I like to.

Honest and truthful I don't approve of cheating and using unfair means just to get on top. I do what I do honestly and do not hesitate to tell someone the truth. I'm not saying I don't lie and never lie. I do. Everyone does. But I only do when I have no choice and the lie is a temporary falsehood that buys time for me to make a truth. I hate two-faced people. I don't mean Two-Face (Harvey Dent), no hate for that guy. I just mean your regular backstabbers and flatterers. I tell people what I think of them and they actually appreciate me for it.

Worst qualities:
Stubborn I'm kind of set in my ways and hate taking advice and help from others. I'm very opinionated and unwilling to bend to a compromise.
"I'm an island" attitude I hate being dependent on others and like doing things my way and no other. Taking assistance makes me feel somehow weak and crippled. Like I can't do anything for myself.
Opinionated I have certain opinions about most things and won't change them unless someone can give me a whole detailed argument stating why. That's another thing. I like to argue and I insist on specifics. If someone can't give me specifics, they're wrong and hopeless human beings.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.How many books from the series have you completed?
I've read all five and I'm a huge fan of the series. Can't wait for 'The Winds of Winter' to be released.

2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Tyrion Lannister There's such depth to his character, you can't help but feel for him. He's always being screwed with but he still manages to be make the best of any situation. He's incredibly witty. He is kind and caring, yet manipulative and sometimes cold-blooded. Even GRRM likes him best.
Arya Stark An absolute wild child. She's tomboyish and stubborn, strong and determined, brave and proud and loyal. She's a true wolf.
Littlefinger Petyr is always up to something. He's cunning, a master manipulator and plays the game of thrones to win it. No one knows what he's scheming and the mystery of it makes him a brilliant character.

Special mentions: Sam Tarly, Jon Snow, Tywin Lannister, Ygritte, Brienne, Sandor Clegane, Davos Seaworth, Ned Stark and Mance Rayder.

3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Joffrey Baratheon/Lannister Spoilt and arrogant with zero sense of judgement. I blame Cersei for the stupid little monster and really commend GRRM for creating such a unanimously hate-able character.
Ramsay Snow I know he was accepted as a Bolton, but he will always be a psychotic bastard, thank you. He's a sociopath and pure evil. No one deserves to be tortured to death more than him.
Viserys Targaryen I hated him from the first moment and for some reason he always reminds me of Anakin Skywalker's transition to Darth Vader.

Special mentions: Varamyr Sixskins, Gregor Clegane and Queen Selyse.

4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
This:

Fly.

“I can’t fly,” Bran said. “I can’t, I can’t…”

How do you know? Have you ever tried?

The voice was high and thin. Bran looked around to see where it was coming from. A crow was spirling down with him, just out of reach, following him as he fell. “Help me,” he said.

I’m trying, the crow replied. Say, got any corn?…

He closed his eyes and began to cry.

That won’t do any good, the crow said. I told you, the answer is flying, not crying. How hard can it be? I’m doing it. The crow took to the air and flapped around Bran’s hand.

“You have wings,” Bran pointed out.

Maybe you do too.

Bran felt along his shoulders, groping for feathers.

There are different kinds of wings, the crow said….

“I can’t fly!”

You’re flying right now.

“I’m falling!”

Every flight begins with a fall, the crow said. Look down.

“I’m afraid…”

LOOK DOWN!

Bran looked down, and felt his insides turn to water. The ground was rushing up at him now. The whole world was spread out below him, a tapestry of white and brown and green. He could see everything so clearly that for a moment he forgot to be afraid. He could see the whole realm, and everyone in it.

He saw Winterfell as the eagles see it, the tall towers looking squat and stubby from above, the castles walls just lines in the dirt. He saw Maester Luwin on his balcony, studying the sky through a polished bronze tube and frowning as he made notes in a book. He saw his brother Robb, taller and stronger than he remembered him, practicing swordplay in the yard with real steel in his hand. He saw Hodor, the simple giant from the stables, carrying an anvil to Mikken’s forge, hefting it onto his shoulder as easily as another man might heft a bale of hay. At the heart of the godswood, the great white weirwood brooded over its reflection in the black pool, its leaves rustling in a chill wind. When it felt Bran watching, it lifted its eyes from the still waters and stared back at him knowingly.

He looked east, and saw a galley racing across the waters of the Bite. He saw his mother sitting alone in a cabin, looking at a bloodstained knife on a table in front of her, as the rowers pulled at their oars and Ser Rodrik leaned across a rail, shaking and heaving. A storm was gathering ahead of them, a vast dark roaring lashed by lightening, but somehow they could not see it.

He looked south, and saw the great blue-green rush of the Trident. He saw his father pleading with the king, his face etched with grief. He saw Sansa crying herself to sleep at night, and he saw Arya watching in silence and holding her secrets hard in her heart. There were shadows all around them. One shadow was dark as ash, with the terrible face of a hound. Another was armored like the sun, golden and beautiful. Over them both loomed a giant in armor made of stone, but when he opened his visor, there was nothing inside but darkness and thick black blood.

He lifted his eyes and saw clear across the narrow sea, to the Free Cities and the green Dothraki sea and beyond, to Vaes Dothrak under its mountain, to the fabled lands of the Jade Sea, to Asshai by the Shadow, where dragons stirred beneath the sunrise.

Finally, he looked north. He saw the Wall shining like blue crystal, and his bastard brother Jon sleeping alone in a cold bed, his skin growing pale and hard as the memory of all warmth fled from him. And he looked past the Wall, past endless forests cloaked in snow, past the frozen shore and the great blue-white rivers of ice and the dead plains where nothing grew or lived. North and north and north he looked, to the curtain of light at the end of the world, and then beyond that curtain. He looked deep into the heart of winter, and then he cried out, afraid, and the heat of his tears burned his cheeks.

Now you know, the crow whispered as it sat on his shoulder. Now you know why you must live.

“Why?” Bran said, not understanding, falling, falling.

Because winter is coming.

*BOOM* Mind-blown. This is by far my favourite moment in the series because it's just so cool. It's just crazy brilliant and I love imagining the way Bran sees the world in this scene. It also leaves you itching to know what the three-eyed crow means and what role Bran has to play in the end.

5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Everyone dies and the Others take over the world..? Nah. Just kidding.
Even so I really want to know more about the Others and their history and stuff.
I also want GRRM to kill off plenty of characters- good and bad.
I don't have any specific vision of how it should end, but I do want a few things:

Brienne and Jaime should end up together and Lady Stoneheart/Catelyn needs to die once and for all.

Brynden Tully surfaces and has some major role.

Theon finds redemption. Poor guy's been screwed with enough already.

Tyrion helps Daenerys or Aegon somehow and kills Cersei, he is the valonqar after all.
He also finds Tysha.

I genuinely doubt Jon and Arya will ever meet again but it would be lovely if they did.
